Gateway to Canada

Scrolling through some old photos, I found this shot. This is the HBC Depot at York Factory. At one time, more than 50 buildings stood at this site. What struck me most was the vastness of this land. In the foreground is the Hayes River. In the background is the mighty Nelson River. To the right is the Bay. Imagine the stories this building could tell. It was a busy place for almost 275 years.
